“May the Force be With You” and lead you to Heritage Station on Friday May 5 as the Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District kicks off its summer film series, Cinema Under the Stars with "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story."
The first installment of the Star Wars Anthology series, set immediately before the events of the original Star Wars film, "Rogue One," (rated PG-13), was released in theaters in December 2016. The number two highest grossing film of 2016, "Rogue One," received high ratings with critics and audiences. In 2016, critics said, "Rogue One” draws deep on Star Wars mythology while breaking new narrative and aesthetic ground - and suggesting a bright blockbuster future for the franchise.
Starring Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker, "Rogue One" follows a group of rebels on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star, the Galactic Empire's superweapon.
Wear your Star Wars attire and join the fun as we kick off the night with an “out of this world” Costume Contest with great prizes for winners in three separate categories!
The costume contest begins at 8pm and the Movie starts at 8:30 Admission is $1. Popcorn and concessions will be for sale. Outdoor seating is available and guests may bring their own blankets or chairs. For more information call the Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District at: 304.696.5954
