Kids to Parks Day

May 20

Ritter Park | 13th Ave & 12th St

11am - 2pm

Kids to Parks Day is an initiative of the National Park Trust (NPT) which encourages kids to get out and play in their local parks. On May 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District (GHPRD) is hosting an adventurous day for families in celebration of Kids to Parks Day! Bring your kids to Ritter Park to test their skills on an obstacle course and play yard games! After that, we invite you to visit as many GHPRD Parks as you can to see which one your family likes best!

The NPT is dedicated to preserving parks today and creating park stewards for tomorrow. NPT is the Nation's only organization dedicated to the completion, and the full appreciation, of the American system of local, state and national parks through the identification of key land acquisition and preservation needs. “The future of our nation's treasured parks, public lands and other open spaces rests in the hands of our youth.” –NPT
