The part starts with a concert at the Barboursville Park amphitheater and a street fair in downtown Barboursville ahead of its annual fireworks display.

Catch the Backyard Dixie Jazz Stompers, led by Dale Jones, and the Greater Huntington Symphonic Band, under the director of Tommy Thompson, performing a variety of patriotic tunes starts at 5 p.m. at the Barboursville Park amphitheater. The Backyard Dixie Jazz Stompers kick off the music with New Orleans-style Dixieland jazz, including a peppy salute to members of the armed forces. Hang around for the Greater Huntington Symphonic Band at 6:30 p.m. for a traditional program of patriotic music including Sousa marches like "The Liberty Bell March" and the "National Game March." The concert is free and open to the public.

Downtown, take in all the fun of a street fair with food trucks, face painting, cornhole games, a dunking booth, inflatables and more starting at 5 p.m. Parking is available in Sadler Field. Check out the bake sale to benefit local Little League teams. The fun runs up until the village's annual fireworks display, set for dusk. Questions or more information please call (304) 733-1500
